Our children will know they are loved because we care enough to correct them. Those who let their children run wild and never provide them with correct instruction set them up for failure. Adult children still requrie instruction and direction. We learned from Eli God still had an expectation that Eli would train his sons to serve God well. And when God's expectation was not fulfil Eli and his son's were destroyed. So, we know the ways of wicked lead to death.
