Welcome all participants!

We are looking forward to seeing all we will gain from this Summer Bible Reading Challenge. We invite you to comment on the blog post so that we can engage throughout the challenge.

Today's reading was from Proverbs 1 - What Did I Get?

The verse that stood out to me was 20 where it talks about "Wisdom shouts in the streets". But still wisdom was ignored in verse 24 and then the results of wisdom being ignored was not nice.

20 Wisdom shouts in the streets.
She cries out in the public square.

24 “I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come.
I reached out to you, but you paid no attention.

Leave a comment and let us know what you took away from your reading today.

I like Proverbs 1:5 out of the Amplified Version. If we heed to wisdom, we increase our leaning!!! Wisdom has benefits!!!

Prov. 1:5 AMP The wise will hear and increase their learning, And the person of understanding will acquire wise counsel and the skill [to steer his course wisely and lead others to the truth],

What stood out to me the most is how Proverbs 10 thru the end relate to ignorance today simply because wisdom is not known. They don't know wisdom because they don't know God. And because they don't know God, they have set up idols, they are rebellious and disobedient as in the Bible days. So it was then, so it is now.

Obtaining Wisdom is the key. The Bible instructs us to train up a child. If we do this, our children will have a reverential fear of God, they will not only hear their fathers instructions and forsake not mothers laws they will not be easily enticed by their friends and the folly of this world. In doing that, they become the world changers this world needs and use the fruits of the Spirit to lead others to The Kingdom of God.

Proverbs 3: If we trust in the Lord and acknowledge Him in all the choices that we make, He will lead us in the right direction. Don't look upon the seemingly prosperity of the wicked because it will not last. Consider how the wicked acquire his gain and the lack of peace that goes with it.. When we walk upright, we are blessed of the Lord and His blessings bring no sorrow or regret with it.
